I’ve tried to make home-brew wine with very little success, so perhaps Viticulture is the way to go in future, and following a Kickstarter campaign the game now has it’s first expansion.
Viticulture itself is a worker-placement game, again brought about through a Kickstarter campaign. You have to cultivate your vineyard, in competition with up to five other players – harvesting and managing seasonal visitors who come and help out.
Using those workers and visitors, you can expand your vineyard by building structures, planting vines, and filling wine orders as you work towards the goal of owning the most successful winery in Tuscany.
Tuscany: Expand the World of Viticulture significantly extends the original game of winemaking. Using a tiered system that lets you gradually unlock (“uncork”) 12 new expansions to Viticulture in an order that is unique to your game, Tuscany enhances and completes the rustic world that Viticulture introduced.
You can get a deluxe edition containing the original game and the expansion, along with metal coins and a wine-crate style surround for the boxes for £99 on Amazon. I’ve not been able to find an individual copy of Tuscany for pre-order yet, outside of Stonemaeir games’ own site.
